Pretty in Pink!

Good Morning! It's Saturday... Yay! Do you have any plans for today? A good friend of mine called me couple of days ago and asked if I'm doing anything this weekend, right away I said..."Yes, I'll be making cards!" But, she said beside that are you doing anything else? When I said no, she said that she wants to do a little party to celebrate my birthday... how sweet is that?!

Anyway, here's the card I created last night for (are you ready?!) Courtney's CBC Challenge (sketch challenge), Splitcoaststampers (color combination) which is Pink Pirouette, Basic Black and Whisper White and for Laurel of Want2Scrap (blog candy). Make sure to visit Laurel's blog, not only for her blog candy but to see how creative she is... hi Laurel!

I always want to dress this Sarah Kay image to with pink and black and it's just perfect for the challenge. The flowers are covered with Baby Pink Flower Soft.

When my daughter saw this card, she said..."Mom, it's really pretty but I really don't like her hair, she looks like she has gray hair". I should have listened to my daughter and darkened her hair. Maybe, before she goes to someone else, she can use some Clairol...LOL!

Stamps: Rose's Garden by Sarah Kay

Paper: Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, Basic Black card stock from
Stampin' Up

Ink: Versafine Onyx Black, SU re-inkers

Accessories: Scallop Punch, Love & Happiness Rub ons, Pretty in Pink gross grain ribbon, black brads, Stampin' Dimensional and Baby Pink Flower Soft

Your daughter's comment was priceless! Kids are something aren't they! I have to admit, I have never liked these images. I guess it's just a guy thing or something from my childhood LOL! However, your card makes me like this image! That is a huge compliment! Great work!
