Bon Voyage!

My sister's co-worker asked me to make several cards for some people at her work who will be retiring soon...5, I believe. This is the first card I created for her. I guess he likes to travel and I really don't have a lot of stamps with that theme but I do have Boatloads of Love from Stampin' Up.

I stamped the image with Staz-On Jet Black ink and colored it with aqua painter with Prisma Watercolor Pencils. The card base is stamped with the Canvas background. All 3 cloud puffs are cut out and popped up with dimensionals and added Crystal Stickles. Silver eyelets were used for the windows. The sentiment was printed in the computer and punched it with Word Window Punch (we actually, changed the sentiment from "Happy trails to you" to "Bon Voyage") but just didn't have the chance to take a photo of it.

Stamps: Boatloads of Love and Canvas background by Stampin' Up

Paper: Whisper White, Always Artichoke and Night of Navy cardstock from Stampin'Up .

Ink: StāzOn Jet Black

Accessories: Word Window Punch, Silver eyelets, Crystal Stickles, Stampin' dimensional and Always Artichoke ribbon

I sure do love you

David's in Mexico for a week for some softball tournament and he'll be back this Sunday. Toni did some drawings and letters for her Dad and we'll be putting her artwork and letters inside this card.

I just love the way this card came out and wanted to use the same layout...well, everything's the same except for the sentiment which I also found at Michael's dollar bin. The color combo is not so manly but I sure hope he likes it!

Stamps: I do love you from Michael's dollar bin

Paper: Rose Red, Very Vanilla cardstock from Stampin' Up and Designer Paper Marcella by K.

Ink: Basic Black from Stampin' Up

Accessories: Extra Jumbo Marvy Scallop Punch, Brown Satin Ribbon and Heart silver brad.

Happy Birthday, Luz!

I really need to find some time to stamp ... I'm so busy with work, our kitchen and bathroom being renovated (yes, it's finally done! "Doing the happy dance with a big grin on my face") and my daughter's homework. I have tons of birthdays, retirement, Christmas and get-well cards that I have do. Even with yesterday's holiday (Veteran's day) and my daughter's in school, I thought I would have lots of time to stamp and get started with my cards, but the construction guys did some last minute changes at the house and I was not able to do anything except for this card! (Well, at least I have 1 crossed off my list).

Another quick card for a friend of mine here at work. The card base is one of my favorite Stampin' Up colors which is Bashful Blue. I also used Very Vanilla and Green Galore. The patterned paper is a left-over from this frame, and as you can see, that the apron she's wearing is the same as the patterned paper. Both sentiment and image is from Stamping Bella, and the polka dots ribbon is from Michael's. Happy Birthday, Luz!

Stamps: Cakeabella and Happy Birthday sentiment from Stamping Bella

Paper: Bashful Blue, Green Galore, Very Vanilla CS from Stampin' Up and Paterned Paper by Fresh Print

Ink: Basic Black and Chocolate Chip Classic Ink from Stampin' Up

Accessories: Green polka-dot ribbon, Crystal Stickles

Ways to use Velvet

Thursday is Ways To Use It Challenge at SCS (Splitcoaststampers), this is an invitation to everyone to create a card using a particular product or tool. And today's challenge is to make something with velvet (velvet papers, velvet brads, velvets ribbons...and so on).

With all kinds of supplies I have at home, this is probably the only thing that I don't have a lot (Velvet I mean). I actually got this Velvet Blossoms by Maya Road from PapertreyInk couple of months ago and just never had the chance to play with it, and this is why I love these challenges from SCS...it forces you to use your stuff laying around.

Stamps: Polka Dots & Petals, Absolutely Fabulous by Stampin' Up

Paper: Whisper White, Real Red, Green Galore and Tempting Turquiose cardstock from Stampin' Up

Ink: Real Red, Green Galore and Tempting Turquiose Classic Ink from Stampin' Up

Accessories: Velvet Blossoms by Maya Road, Circle Punch, Non-SU Ribbon, Stampin' Dimentional and Silver Brad

Hello again!

Another quick card for today using the same stamp I used yesterday. I've seen this sketch some time ago from one of the blogs I visit but of course I can't remember where. Anyway, before I put this stamp away and never be seen for awhile, I thought of making another quick card and this is what I came with.

I got these polka dot prima flowers that came on a clear plastic paint cans on sale at Target for $2.99 and there's about 30 or more flowers, I put an adhesive rhinestones in the middle of the flower.

Stamps: Hello, good friend from Michael's dollar bin

Paper: Pretty in Pink, Pixie Pink, Green Galore and Whisper White from Stampin' Up.

Ink: Basic Black from Stampin' Up.

Accessories: Polka dot prima flowers, adhesive rhinestone and pink sheer ribbon

Hello there!

It's been weeks since the last time I've inked any of my rubbah and been dying for some stamping but life's been so hectic lately. So, after getting home at 11 o'clock last night (had to stay with my sisters boys last night while she helped out her sister-in-law whose opening a restaurant today... Pen, don't forget I'm charging $20.00/hour for both of them...LOL!) I wanted to do a quick card, this card is for nobody in particular but I'll have one handy to give to someone for a quick hello. Will you be that someone?

I got this stamp "Hello, good friend" at Michael's dollar bin (don't you just love those dollar bins?). The base of the card and the Extra Jumbo Marvy scallop is Rose Red cardstock from Stampin' Up , the polka dot paper is from Magnolia Collection by My Minds Eye and tied with a brown satin ribbon. The sentiment "hello" has a small flower on the letter "O" and instead of just plain stamp flower I added a pink flower brad.

Hope you're having a nice day today!

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness, SCS (Splitcoaststampers) color challenge for this week is anything PINK!

Here's my take on this week's PINK challenge. Yes, pink snow... it can happen! ;)

Saw this card from Rose Ann's blog and just love everything about it, the layout and soft look is just so pretty. After commenting on how I love the card, she was nice to offer some snowman images and even sent me the card... thanks again Rose Ann. Watch out Rose Ann, you'll be getting some pink snow soon... I told you it could happen.

Also, the Design Team of My Favorite Things has created several cards using Think Pink stamp set for auction on Ebay!

All proceeds from this auction will be donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure! Auction will end on October 22nd, so what are you waiting for?

My daughter Toni saw these "GOOGLY EYES" on my computer table and ask me if I can make a card just using these eyes. Talking about a challenge from a 7-year old girl.

SCS (Splitcoaststampers) have these challenges every Friday called "Limited Supplies" (this is to create a card with limited supplies...got it!) and I guess my daughter thinks she's the next SCS moderator. Better watch out Beth, your job is in danger...LOL!

What would a good mother do, you might ask? Of course, make a card with googly eyes. This is one of the easiest card I've made in awhile. It took me about less than 2 minutes for this one to come alive.

Boss's Day is an opportunity to acknowledge them for all their support...yada, yada, yada! LOL!

Anyway, here's a card that I made for my boss. It's a Criss-Cross Card that Beate from Fresh and Fun shared on one of her tutorials. If you haven't had the chance to make this card, you just have too, it's fun and easy.

&
"If you tell the boss you were late for work because you had a flat tire, the next morning you will have a flat tire."- Cannon's Law
(I was gonna use this tomorrow... I better not, huh!)

Clearly...It's Spooky!

Well, not really, they're actually cute...don't you think so? This was the Technique Challenge over at Splitcoaststampers last week. The challenge was to make an Acetate Card. I was able to make these over the weekend and share it here.

These cards will be for someone special in the family from my daughter Toni ... hence, "from your favorite little pumpkin". Love this saying, and that is one of the reasons why I bought this
from Papertrey Ink.

Both main images, Cater-Mouse and Trick or Cheese are from House-Mouse Designs and are stamped on Staz-On Ink. The bats background from the Cater-Mouse card is from Fright Night by MFT (My Favorite Things). The bats background from the Trick or Cheese is from Spooky Sweets by Papertrey Ink.

Both images are colored using Prismacolor Colored Pencils. For the Trick or Cheese card, I punched holes to look like Cheese... I did not like it at first but my daughter thought it was cute. And of course, finished it with some ribbon.

Stamps: Cater-Mouse and Trick or Cheese from House-Mouse Designs, Bats from Fright Night by MFT and sentiment from Spooky Sweets by Papertrey Ink.

Paper: Green Galore, Basic Black, Whisper White on Cater-Mouse card, Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Chip, Yoyo Yellow and Whisper White on Trick or Cheese card.

Ink: StāzOn Jet Timber Brown and StāzOn Jet Black

Accessories: 1/4" circle and 1/2" circle punch, acetate, orange and basic black ribbon.

And I wanted to share my Birthday Cake, well, I mean show you the picture of my birthday cake. Nothing special but I've always loved this cake growing up from Goldilocks back home (Philippines) ... doesn't it look Yummy? It is and I still have some at home =)

By the way, thanks Mom!

Anyway, as promised, here's a Halloween card for yah :)

This card was actually made and was sent out a month ago for one of the swap that I signed up for. Hopefully, I'll remember to take a picture of my cards as soon as I get home from work today.

This stamp set is from Stampin' Up called Haunting Halloween. The sentiment on the front says "Witching you..." and inside says "... a haunting Halloween." The patterned paper is from last years Designer Series Paper. This cute cat witch hat and cape is dazzled with lime stickles.

The background and sentiment is printed on Very Vanilla cardstock and both matted with Chocolate Chip cardstock and finished it with a stitched satin brown ribbon.

This is the card I came out with for Beate's Weekend Challenge.
Nichole Heady offered this Digital Card Making Kit for free and wanted to use it for Beate's Challenge.

I've always wanted to try digital scrapping but can never figure it out, but Nichole post a step-by-step instruction on her blog and this is what I came out with. I love it and totally hooked!

A card for Victoria

If you have a chance to send a card for Victoria Enmon, please do so. She has a cancer and her teacher is trying to get cards mailed to Victoria from each State. To learn more about Victoria's story and how to send a card, go to Courtney’s blog.

Here's a card that my daughter Toni created for Victoria. I let her read Victoria's story and said "Mom, I want to make a card for her" and so she did.

And, here's my card for Victoria. This is also a Sketch Challenge 142 from Splitcoaststampers.

The stamp is called Flower Bug by Whipper Snapper Design. I love all their stamps and just wish I could get all of them (*hint, for my Mom and my sister). The image and sentiment are stamped in Stãz-On Jet Black Ink and colored with Prima Watercolor Pencils. She’s also covered with Crystal Effects for some shine. The background polka dots were stamped with Classic Stampin’ Pad Basic Black Ink from Stampin’ Up using a # 2 pencil eraser.
