3 Challenges and celebrating Daniel's Birthday

While having dinner around 7:15 last night, my daughter told me that she's done with homework, has taken a shower, and asked if she can go to bed early. I asked why and she said that she was too tired that morning and she wants a lot of sleep tonight. That means after I prepare for her school clothes and mine, our lunches the next day, feed the dogs, and wash the dishes, I'll be able to stamp and stamp I did :)

When I saw Jen Del Muro of I{heart}2Stamp sketch challenge over the weekend, right away I knew that I wanted to play along with everyone else and I knew right away the perfect stamp to use for this sketch.

Main image is Ike and Mike Go Fishin' from Whipper Snapper Design and stamped on Whisper White card stock with VersaFine Onyx Black and colored the image with Copics markers. I love the way it came out (I have issues with Copics..that's why! I just love every one's image when they use Copics markers but never like when I do it). The snow and snowflake are covered with Crystal Stickles.

And I have to peak at SplitCoast Stampers and see what's the color combination for the following day and I'm so glad that Emily posted it early. And this week's color challenge is Chocolate Chip, Tangerine Tango and Kiwi Kiss. After seeing Ashley's card here, when she used the sketch from Clean and Simple Stamping, I just had to use it the same sketch.

I ran to a friend of mine while at the store yesterday and she said "Oh! perfect... I have something for you!" and she gave me this stamp from Inkadinkado for my birthday... how sweet is that? So, I made a card using the same stamp she gave me.

This is what the inside card looks like.

And lastly, yesterday would have been my son's Daniel's 14th birthday, he's been in heaven for the last 13 years and 10 months and I've always celebrated his life on my own little way. When I used to do this when my daughter was little, she had a hard time understanding it. Well... more like not liking when I tell her that we're celebrating my angel's birthday. She always tell me that she's my baby angel. So I have to call my Daniel, my heaven angel and my Toni, my earth angel.

Anyway, yesterday morning she reminded me to get a cake for her Kuya (big brother) Daniel. After dinner, we lit a candle and sang Happy Birthday to him and enjoyed a chocolate cake.... YUM! Here's Toni blowing her BIG brothers candle :)
