Today's color challenge at SCS is "Making Yoyo Yellow look good". The color combination is Basic Gray (which I don't have), Going Gray (1 left) and Yoyo Yellow (eeekksss! ). The only person I know who likes this color is my Mom. But, being home and sick, I thought of making more cards and challenge myself.
The only image I can think of using this color combination is the Bee's from Stampendous. Image was stamped on Staz-On Jet Black ink and cut out, I was thinking of putting some stickles only on their wings but decided to emboss the whole image and added an adhesive rhinestone in the middle of the flower. I wanted to mat the image with a basic black card stock but the coluzzle circle template was way too big and I just didn't like the way it looked, so I used a drinking glass, traced it and it turned out perfect.
The card base is a 4 1/4 by 4 1/4 Yoyo Yellow card stock. I punched the ticket corner punch on Going Gray card stock and stamped with basic black classic ink using an unused pencil top eraser and added black brads.
