Forever...yours!

Happy Monday!

It's been a crazy weekend, frustrating and fun at the same time. Anyway, I found out Friday afternoon that I wouldn't be able to get the house/condo (long story) and I was pretty upset all weekend long. And then, my realtor called me Saturday afternoon to let me know that we have to start all over again :(. Yesterday, I met with him and we saw couple of places that I was interested and place a bid ... again. I'll find out by Wednesday if they accepted the offer and we'll be in contract... again! So, back to square one...again :(

Anyway, for the fun part...I had some time last night to create and I haven't been playing with my Sarah Kay stamps and I thought it would be nice to do the Magnolia vs Stampavie Challenge. I always have a hard time with big/long cards and when I saw the sentiment on this sketch, I thought why not use a huge sentiment also...LOL! The sentiment alone is measured 2" x 3 1/2", but I thought it's just the perfect sentiment for these two.

Main image is from Summer 2008 Sarah Kay Collection, A Kiss for Chloe and was stamped on Whisper White card stock and colored with Stampin' Up re-inkers and matted with Pink Pirouette, Wild Wasabi and Chocolate Chip card stock. The sentiment Forever is by Heidi Swapp Clear Stamp. The patterned paper is by My Mind's Eye. The card is measured 9 1/2" x 8 1/2" folded in half, I told you its HUGE.

I'm so sorry about the falling out of your house/condo. we were wishing you well and excited for you. Well, it wasn't in God's plan for you to get this one, but maybe the next one will be the right one for you...as the saying goes: "if God brings you to it, he'll bring you through it". just believe and trust that he has your best interest at heart.
oh, btw, great job on the card and using the big sentiment. I have a hard time doing these long cards too. thanks for inspiring as always.

Hey Catherine! I am sorry about the condo, but I have a story for you that I think will put it into perspective. I had a friend who was looking to buy her first house several years ago. She had her heart set on this particular house but long story short, the deal did not go through and she was heartbroken. She ended up with another house, but she still never forgot about "that" house. 5 months later, she was watching the morning news while getting ready for work, and saw "that" house had burned to the ground! The cause of the fire was bad electrical box in the basement. Fortunately the people were out of town at the time and no one was hurt, but it was a total loss. They lost everything! Can you imagine?!?! So, everything happens for a reason! Hang in there kiddo, something better is just over the hill! Best, Curt

Hang in there Catherine. I know buying a home can be an experience, and it will happen. I believe that there is a reason for everything..and it is times like these when I am frustrated it is hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I had one of those moments with my daughter over the weekend. Your home will find you!!! Love your card! The colors are exquisite!
