Thanks Dahlia!

Happy Friday! Here's another Dahlia card that I created for a very good friend of mine, Luz, who's always around to make me smile... I miss you, Luz!

She loved this card when I posted it a couple of months ago. I promised her then that I'll make one for her. So, on my last day at the office where we both work, (I just got promoted!), I gave her this card with her favorite colors.

Followed this instruction for the Dahlia fold using So Saffron designer series paper. Adhered a rhinestone in the middle of the card and layered it with Basic Black cardstock. I wanted the flower to stand out so I added an Apricot Appeal cardstock, layered it with Basic Black cardstock and punched with the ticket corner. I then used the same designer series layered with Basic Black cardstock, tied a Black double-stitched ribbon and adhered with Apricot Appeal card stock. I just loved the way this came out so I made eight(!) more cards with different colors. That's 64 small circles folded using this technique.

Stamps: Absolutely Fabulous by Stampin' Up

Ink: Basic Black Classic Ink from Stampin' Up

Paper: Apricot Appeal, So Saffron, Basic Black card stock, Apricot Appeal DSP

Accessories: 1 3/8 circle punch, corner ticket punch, Marvy Giga circle punch, black double stitched ribbon from Michaels and self adhesive rhinestone
