CSCC Presents The Sound of Music

When I saw that the movie pick for this week at Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge was The Sound of Music, the first thing I thought was the song "My Favorite Things". And, my card was inspired from Maria's song...

Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes
Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes Silver white winters that melt into Springs
These are a few of my favorite things

The layout is from this week's Featured Stamper at SCS, Annascreations. Here's the card that I choose to CASE. Sophia was stamped on Whisper White card stock, her dress was colored using white shimmer paints and SU Pacific Point re-inkers. The patterned paper is from My Mind's Eye Christmas Glitter Collection.

Make sure to check out this post to win some Whimsy Stamps. You have until, Sunday, December 14th, 6PM EST.

CSCC Presents Memoirs of a Geisha

This week's movie pick at Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge is Memoirs of a Geisha. I've missed couple of their challenges already and when I saw this week's pick, I just had to play.

No stamping done on this card at all just a lot of cutting. I've been saving this patterned paper for awhile now and thought that this is perfect pattern for a Kimono dress (template can be found here).Card size is 5" x 10 1/2" folder in half.

This is what it looks like in the back of the card. Plain and simple just the way I would wear a Kimono...if I can fit into one...LOL!

CSCC Presents Breakfast at Tiffany's

Have you seen the cinema pick for this week at Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge? It's Breakfast at Tiffany's... how fun! And, after drooling over at Sankari and Brooke's card, I had to make my own inspiration.

I had this dress template for I don't know how long that I've been saving for the right time, and today is just the perfect day to use it. I traced my template on a Basic Black card stock and run through Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder, and I also did the same thing on the base of the card. I wanted to use the same color as the Tiffany & Co. box but I didn't have the ribbon to go with it. So, I decided to use Pink Pirouette card stock to match with this Pearl with pink ribbon. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up, Absolutely Fabulous.

Stamps: Absolutely Fabulous from Stampin' Up

Paper: Pink Pirouette, Basic Black card stock from Stampin' Up

Ink: Versafine Onyx Black

Accessories: Pearls with Pink ribbon, Scallop Punch, Stampin' Dimensional, Cuttlebug and CB Swiss Dots embossing folder
